Cyprus Maritime Awards

The Council of Ministers has established the Cyprus Maritime Award for the purpose of promoting and further developing the Cyprus merchant shipping. The purpose of the establishment of the Cyprus Maritime Award is the recognition of services that have contributed to the development, improvement, advancement and promotion of the Cyprus merchant shipping. The Award is bestowed every two years, during the “Maritime Cyprus” Conference by H.E. the President of the Republic of Cyprus, or by the Shipping Deputy Minister on behalf of the President.

The Award is symbolic and consist of a commemorative trophy and relevant certificate. Τhe Award, which is bestowed in accordance with the current Regulations, is one of the following:

• The Cyprus Maritime Personality Award
• The Cyprus Shipping Industry Award
