Vincenzo Galati is a Naval Architect and Marine Engineer, graduated from the University of Genova in 2000 with a Financial Master at INSEAD, Paris, currently engaged within the cruise company Carnival Corporation & plc in the field of data infrastructure and analytics for ship compliance and technical environment.
He commenced his career as an Italian Navy Officer in 2001, appointed as Newbuilding Engineer and Lead Auditor of the Quality Control Group, with experience in NATO AQAP/ISO rules and their application in the industrial field.
The following year, Vincenzo joined the cruise industry to which he has dedicated all his career, starting within Costa Crociere where he held several roles in the field of ship technical operations and energy efficiency.
After covering for three years the position of Ship Superintendent for the two vessels Costa Marina and Costa Allegra, in 2005 he was assigned the role of Ship Manager and Warranty Engineer, providing technical support for Costa Fortuna, Costa Magica and Costa Luminosa, as well as of Legal Energy Manager for monitoring all Costa ships and New Buildings to identify energy savings opportunities.
In 2011 he was designated Director Energy Management, responsible for the Fuel Plan and Forecast of the whole Costa fleet, performing upgrades and developing new systems both to monitor ship energy performance and enhance operating models for the implementation of corrective actions to reduce energy consumption.
Since September 2015 he has taken up the position of Director Performance Engineering within Carnival Corporation & plc., assigned with the responsibility for providing engineering solutions for data gathering infrastructure, as well as leading the development of monitoring and analytics for the entire Corporate fleet and shoreside departments.
Furthermore, from 2013 to 2015, he was Member of the Board of Directors of Ecospray Technologies, a company which is part of the Carnival Group since 2013, while in 2014 he was also member at IMO MEPC 66 CLIA (Cruise Line International Association). Since June 2023 he has become Member of the Board of Directors of Catemission, a company which is part of Ecospray Technologies, specialized in emission reduction solutions for industrial and marine industries.
