Katalin Dobránszky-Bartus is Senior director for Innovation, Finance and Fiscal affairs at the European Community Shipowners’ Associations. She is responsible for regulatory files related to sustainable finance, ship finance, funding, state aid and taxation matters and for economic research. She was educated as a financial risk manager and investment analyst and she has a PhD in sustainable finance. She started her career at the Budapest Stock Exchange and worked for a wide range of financial stakeholders (banks, banking authority, clearing house) before she joined the shipping industry. She lives in Leuven, in Belgium, with her husband and three children and she is a member of WISTA Belgium and an alumni member of Farkas Heller College for Advanced Financial Studies
