Mr. John A. Xylas

John graduated from Athens College in 1982 and obtained an Economics degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1986.

With over 38 years of experience in shipping, John began his career in 1987 in the family business. In 2002, he established Ariston Navigation Corp., which today manages a fleet of 11 modern bulk carrier vessels.

John holds several prominent roles in the maritime industry. He is the Chairman of InterCargo for the period 2025-2026, a member of the executive board and Treasurer of UGS and Syn-Enosis, a board member of Helmepa, a member of the ABS and LR’s Hellenic National Committees and has served two terms as President of the Piraeus Marine Club.
