Mr. Giulio Tirelli achieved a Master of Science degree in Naval Architecture at the “Università degli Studi di Trieste”, in Trieste – Italy after having spent his university career both in Italy and in Spain.
After an internship in Wärtsilä Italia where he worked as vibration engineering, he moved in 2006 to Wärtsilä Finland, joining the Solutions team as Project Engineer. In Finland he took part to the big success that Wärtsilä Dual-Fuel engines gained in the LNG Carriers sector. In 2008 he joined Wärtsilä Switzerland with the position of Application Development Manager and got following promoted to Director, Portfolio and Applications.
Between 2011 and 2013 he joined the Executive MBA in Shipping and Logistics at the “Copenhagen Business School” in Copenhagen – Denmark graduating with full honours in August 2013.
From early 2014, moved back to Trieste – Italy, he’s today working in Wärtsilä Italia in the Marine Solutions division. His main tasks consist in leading the transformation of customers’ needs into product features, introducing to the market the upfront technology in all marine segments: from passengers to off-shore, from oil and gas carriers to cruise vessels.
