Mr. George Mouskas was born in 1953.

After completing his schooling he went in to the University to study Law. He gained a BA Degree in Law with Honours. Whilst studying at University, he was elected as member of the Baltic Exchange in 1974.

Mr. George Mouskas joined Zela Shipping Co. Ltd. in 1976. He specialized in Chartering, Sale and Purchase, Financing and Insurances. In 1977 he became joint managing director with his brother, Mr. Zenon Mouskas. In 2017, he joined Olympia Ocean Carriers Ltd as a director.

Olympia Ocean Carriers Ltd is the Cyprus management company of the group which currently controls seven (7) Cape Size vessels and nine (9) Ultramax Bulk Carriers.

In 2012, he became deputy chairman of the board of directors of Sea Trade Holdings Inc.

Mr. George Mouskas was an underwriting member at Lloyds. In 2012, he was elected on the board of the Marine Shipping Mutual Insurance. He was asked to attend the IMO (International Marine Organisation) on a number of occasions together with the Cyprus Government Permanent Representatives.

In 2009, Mr. George Mouskas was elected President of the Cyprus Union of Ship Owners. He remained at that position until February 2016. He is presently the advisor of the executive committee as well as the current President of the Cyprus Union of Ship Owners.
