Robert (‘Bob’) Jaques is an award-winning maritime business journalist with more than 25 years' experience of shipping, the last 15 as editor of Seatrade Maritime Review.
He is a graduate of the University of York in the UK, later adding a Diploma in Management Studies (Distinction) from Birkbeck College, University of London.
His career began as a business journalist in Geneva, Switzerland, writing on the aerospace industry, later also covering telecomunications and media.
In the early 1990s he joined Seatrade and returned to the UK, where he now lives with his wife Olga and three children in a coastal village just outside Colchester.
