Angeliki Frangou, a fifth-generation ship owner, is known within the industry for her entrepreneurial vision and innovation. She is the head of the Navios Group, a global maritime consortium which includes three publicly listed companies trading on the New York Stock Exchange, and one trading on the NASDAQ. The Group currently controls a diversified fleet of about 200 vessels including dry bulk vessels and containerships as well as crude and product tankers. Navios Group also holds a majority stake in Navios South American Logistics Inc., a logistics business serving the storage and marine transportation needs of its petroleum, agricultural and mining customers through its port terminals, river barge and coastal cabotage operations.

Ms. Frangou is a Member of the Board of the United Kingdom Mutual Steam Ship Assurance Association (Bermuda) Limited. Since 2015, she has also been a Board Member of the Union of Greek Shipowners. Ms. Frangou also acts as Vice Chairman of the China Classification Society Mediterranean Committee, and is a member of the International General Committee and of the Hellenic and Black Sea Committee of Bureau Veritas, and a member of the Greek Committee of Nippon Kaiji Kyokai.

Ms. Frangou is also a Member of the Board of Trustees of Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she received her BS in Mechanical Engineering, summa cum laude. She is also a Member of the Board of Visitors of the Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science, where she earned her master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
