Ecochlor is the only supplier of BWT systems that utilizes the patented chlorine dioxide (ClO2) treatment technology for ballast water which does not require treatment or neutralization on discharge. The ballast water treatment system (BWTS) uses a two-step treatment process – filtration followed by chlorine dioxide. The system’s efficacy is not impaired by variations in salinity, temperature, turbidity, organics, or vibration. The low power consumption and small footprint makes it ideally suited for mid-sized vessels up to the largest supertankers in the world.
