The Cyprus Maritime Academy (CyMA), part of the educational network of the University of Nicosia -the largest University in Cyprus-, is the first Maritime Academy in Cyprus to offer three Certificates of Competency. These include the Officer in Charge of Navigational Watch, Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch, and Electro-technical Officer, all approved by the Department of Merchant Shipping of the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Works.
In collaboration with Intercollege Larnaca, all graduates also obtain the relevant Bachelor Degree. All Bachelor Degrees are accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (DI.P.A.E.), the competent Authority responsible for ensuring the quality of higher education in Cyprus.
